Young brass and percussion musicians from across the Chicagoland area are invited to take part in an exciting day of music-making, collaboration, and performance as registration opens for Youth Brass Day!
Designed for middle school and high school musicians interested in brass band performance, Youth Brass Day offers students the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment alongside experienced brass musicians and educators. Participants will explore the unique sound and tradition of the British-style brass band while building ensemble skills, musicianship, confidence, and new musical friendships.
Throughout the day, students will participate in rehearsals, sectionals, and collaborative music-making experiences designed to challenge and encourage developing performers at a variety of experience levels. Whether students are already passionate about brass playing or simply looking for a new musical experience, Youth Brass Day provides a welcoming opportunity to grow as musicians while enjoying a full day surrounded by fellow young performers who share a love of music.
The event will take place at the beautiful facilities of the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn on Saturday, June 27. The campus offers excellent rehearsal and collaborative spaces while remaining easily accessible for families throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.
Parents, students, and band directors are encouraged to help spread the word and invite interested young brass and percussion players to participate.
