Our 2026–2027 season auditions were Saturday and Sunday, August 29 & 30 at St. James Lutheran Church in Lake Forest.

If you missed this year's formal auditions but are still interested in Chicago Brass Band or sitting in on a rehearsal to learn more about us, please contact auditions@chicagobrassband.org and include your instrument(s), experience level, and a brief background.

The Chicago Brass Band holds annual auditions for musicians interested in performing with one of America’s premier British-style brass ensembles. Auditions for new players will consist of prepared excerpts from championship-level test pieces, the ILMEA scale sheet for your instrument, and a lyrical solo of your choice. We will send you the required audition excerpts once you reach out to schedule your audition.

Rehearsals are Sundays in Hoffman Estates from 2:00–4:30 pm at The Salvation Army Territorial HQ. 2026–2027 season rehearsals begin September 13.
