Our 2025–2026 season auditions have concluded, but we’d still love to hear from you!

If you’re interested in joining the Chicago Brass Band or sitting in on a rehearsal to learn more about us, please contact johnleahy@chicagobrassband.org and include your instrument, experience level, and a brief background.

The Chicago Brass Band holds annual auditions for musicians interested in performing with one of America’s premier British-style brass ensembles. While specific requirements vary by season, auditions typically consist of prepared excerpts from championship-level test pieces.

We currently have vacancies for the following instruments: Cornet, Bass (Tuba)

Rehearsals are Sundays in Hoffman Estates from 3:00–5:30 pm at The Salvation Army Territorial HQ. 2025–2026 season rehearsals began September 7th.
