Chicago Brass Band Takes First Place at Gateway Championships

The Chicago Brass Band is proud to announce its First Place finish at the Gateway Brass Band Championships, held yesterday in O’Fallon, Illinois.

Under the direction of Dr. Mark A. Taylor, the band delivered a strong performance of its contest program, earning top honors among a field of ensembles from across the region. This achievement reflects the dedication of the entire group and marks an exciting milestone in the band’s season.

We extend our sincere congratulations to all of the bands who performed at this year’s competition. It was a fantastic day of music making, and we are grateful to share the stage with so many talented musicians.

The Chicago Brass Band would also like to thank the St. Louis Brass Band for their excellent work in organizing and hosting another successful Gateway Championships.

With this accomplishment, the band now looks ahead to the North American Brass Band Association Championships in just a couple weeks. We are excited to continue building on this momentum and to represent Chicagoland on the national stage!
