CBB Welcomes Philip Harper to Chicagoland

The Chicago Brass Band is thrilled to welcome Philip Harper, Musical Director of the world-renowned Cory Band, to Chicagoland this week.

Widely regarded as one of the leading musical minds in the brass band world, Harper has led Cory Band to international acclaim, including multiple major championship titles and global recognition for artistic excellence. His visit marks an exciting continuation of his ongoing collaboration with Chicago Brass Band in preparation for the upcoming North American Brass Band Association Championships.

Harper will spend the week working intensively with the band, bringing his signature approach to British-style contest preparation as Chicago Brass Band makes final preparations for the national stage. This residency builds on a strong relationship developed over several seasons, with his previous visits playing a transformative role in the ensemble’s musical growth and competitive success.

He will also serve as guest conductor for Chicago Brass Band’s performance at NABBA next week, guiding the ensemble in what promises to be an exciting and highly anticipated appearance.
