Jason Lyons is a teacher and performer living in Willow Springs, IL and is a charter member of the Chicago Brass Band. Jason has taught 4th-8th grade band in LaGrange, Illinois for 10 years. In the summer of 2008, Jason received his Master’s degree from the VanderCook College of Music. As an undergraduate student at Bradley University, he studied Tuba with Terry Solomonson and conducting with Dr. David Vroman. While at Bradley he participated in various music ensembles including: band, choir, orchestra, brass quintet, and tuba quartet. Other than music his hobbies include cycling, vacationing, hiking, and family gatherings. He and his wife, Beth, have one son, Joey, and two pug dogs: Frank and Lola.
